Helen Kenyon, 88

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Helen (Wisnowski) Kenyon, 88 of North Adams, MA died on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at BMC Pittsfield surrounded by her loving family.



Helen was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 2, 1936 a daughter of Frank & Hannah Wisnowski. Helen attended schools and graduated at New York City and studied to be a seamstress following school. She worked in that field until her marriage. She worked in Manhattan for a modeling and clothing design agency. Prior to her marriage, she enjoyed traveling to Florida, Spokane Washington, Gatlinburg, TN and the Great Smokey Mountains National Park with her girlfriends. She also enjoyed a trip to Russia in 1993 with her husband.



After her time as a homemaker and raising her two children, she was a housekeeper in Southeast Pittsfield for many years. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness (JW’s), in North Adams, MA and enjoyed her friendships she made with this group over the years. The members of the JW’S North Adams group were and are still very supportive of Gary and Helen in so many ways and are so appreciated by the family.



Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gary Kenyon of North Adams, her son, Mark Kenyon (Courtney) of Moneta, VA and her daughter, Lois Gardner, of Pittsfield, MA. She also leaves her granddaughter, Kendra Holland and her great granddaughter Denelli Rogers.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Helen Kenyon will be held at the North Adams Kingdom Hall, 10 West Shaft Road Terrace, North Adams, MA on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Jehovah’s Witness PO BOX 526 North Adams, MA 01247. Gary, Mark, and Lois, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom Helen. She was one of the nicest sisters I have known. I remember you all from when I was little. I really enjoyed listening to her comments at the meetings. She will be missed.
