James Allen Smith, 48 of Adams died on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in Albany, New York. He was born on December 9, 1977 in Pittsfield, MA a son of Verda Mary (Gilman) Senecal and Gary W. Smith.

James attended schools in North Adams including McCann Technical High School. James was employed as an auto mechanic at Monroe Auto Service Center. Prior to that he worked at Central Radio and enjoyed working on his own and friend’s cars and enjoyed riding his four wheelers.

Survivors include his children, Nicholas Senay, James Dix, Jillian Smith and Hannah Senay.
