Timothy Nelson Plankey, 65

May 03, 2025

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Timothy Nelson Plankey(Plank), 65, of North Adams died surrounded by his family on May 3, 2025. The son of Charles Nelson and Eleanor (Wojcik) Plankey, Timothy was born on July 14, 1959 in North Adams, MA. He attended local schools, graduating from Charles H. McCann Technical High School in the automotive technology program in 1978. Timothy was employed at Specialty Minerals and retired after 36 years of service.

Timothy enjoyed boating at Pontoosuc Lake where he was an avid water skier. He loved to teach anyone how to waterski. In the summer he enjoyed vacationing in Lake Bomoseen and Lake George. He was predeceased by his sister, Debra Soha in 2018.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Hospice Care In the Berkshires for the care they provided.

Sue & Family,

My deepest sympathy on your Dad’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him for 35 years. He was a great guy, and I enjoyed all of my interactions with him. He so much enjoyed his bikes, sheds, and boats. Tim always had a smile to share with everyone. Rest in peace Plank
