NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Theresa Angeline (Denno) Briggs, 100 of Williamstown, MA died Saturday March 8, 2025 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on May 31, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Theresa (Roach) Denno. She attended the former St. Joseph’s Parochial School.
Theresa worked at Sprague Electric Co for 35 years until her retirement in 1987. She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. Theresa was a member of the Sprague Quarterr Century Club and was an active volunteer with its Santa Fund.
She was the widow of Russell Adam Briggs who died on July 17, 2011. They were married on October 24, 1942. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia M. Dubis of Hendersonville, NC and three grandchildren, Jason Bride, Tara Bride and David Dubis and his wife Victoria. She also leaves four great grandchildren including, Alyssa Bride, Christofer Steinhart, Kiara Bride and Adam Dubis; her two godchildren, Mary Bell and Marilyn Beaudreau and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Moreau and Margaret Terlicki and her brother, Joseph Denno who died in infancy. Theresa’s family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Williamstown Commons and Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their care and compassion and a special thank you to Doris Landry, Cindy Schneider, and Valerie Cardinal.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Theresa Briggs will be Monday March 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour at the funeral home will be held on Monday morning March 31 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the North Adams Salvation Army or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
