Busbee J. "Buck" Williams Jr, 83

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Busbee Jewel “Buck” Williams Jr., 83 of Haverhill, MA died Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Wingate Residences in Haverhill.



He was born in North Adams, MA on January 5, 1942, a son of Busbee Jewel Williams and Mabel Frances (Bunting) Williams. He attended Stamford Elementary School and graduated from Drury High School. Buck went on to obtain his Masters in Horticulture from the University of Vermont.



He was a veteran of the Cold War era, serving in the US Air Force.



Buck continued to pursue his love of education and the outdoors as a college professor at Essex Agricultural College. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, now All Saints Church in North Adams.



Survivors include two sisters, Beverly Gallup of Jacksonville, FL and Joan Shields of West Palm Beach, FL and two brothers, David Williams of Kinderhook, NY and Richard Williams of Clarksburg, MA and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews,

I first met Buck when I moved to Stamford and we were in the 4th grade.We remained classmates and friends until we graduated in 1956.Very happy he had such a successful life.
