Charles Anthony Loholdt, 77

February 10, 2025

Charles Anthony Loholdt, 77 of North Adams, MA. died Monday February 10, 2025 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.



He was born in Easton, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1947. Son of the late Charles and Nagle (Unnan) Loholdt. Charles attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School.



Charlie was employed by Cornish Wire and General Cable for a number of years before launching his own upholstery business in 1978 and later expanding into what was known as Loholdt Brothers Upholstery Den when his brother Joseph joined him in 1980. The two owned and operated the upholstery business for more than twenty years before retiring in 2005.



Charlie was devoted to his family his entire life always willing to help when ever needed, especially when it came to his nephews. Charlie cherished his time at home gardening and taking care of the landscape in which he was quite meticulous. Charlie and his brother George took great pride in their large vegetable garden every year. Charlie’s latest endeavor was growing Japanese Maple trees from seedlings and shared with family members which will be treasured.



Survivors include his twin brother and Best Friend George Loholdt, sister-in-law Delores “Lori” Loholdt, nephews Joseph Loholdt (Kelly) and their sons Jacob and Eli; Jeffrey Loholdt (Carrie) and their daughter Samantha and son John; Jason Loholdt and his son Ethan as well as many other nieces and nephews.



Charles was predeceased by sister Marion Morin in 2003, brothers Leo Loholdt in 1993, Harold Loholdt in 2000, Anthony Loholdt in 2002 and Joseph Loholdt in 2019.
