NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Jane C. (Amos) Ashtiany, 71, of North Adams, died on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born in Salzburg, Austria on August 21, 1953, daughter of the late Col. (Ret) Harry and Margaret (Guest) Amos. With her father being in the military, Jane had lived all over the world including Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia.

She is survived by her husband, Farhad Ashtiany, whom she married on May 12, 1979; two daughters, Mary Ashtiany of Inlet Beach, FL and Laila Boucher and her husband Steve of Williamstown; a son, Ali Ashtiany of North Adams; two brothers, Paul Amos of VA and Thomas Amos of NC. Jane also leaves behind two grandchildren Nickolas (Laila) Boucher and Teagan (Laila) Boucher, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Per Jane’s wishes, there are no funeral services.
