NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Joseph James Valotta Jr, 58 of North Adams died on Thursday, October 24, 2024 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born in North Adams on June 9, 1966 a son of the late Joseph J. Valotta Sr. & Lorna Mae (Warner) Valotta.
Joseph attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. He was employed with a local landscaping and plowing company in Berkshire County. Joseph was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and Alabama Football.
Joseph Leaves behind his life partner Leona Wilber of North Adams, MA, step children, Karen Wilber of Halifax, VT and Kaitlyn Wilber of North Adams; sisters, Nancy Mae Howland of North Adams, Dawn Marie Lampiasi of North Adams, Kathleen Anne Sepanek of Shutesbury, MA, Shirley P. Valotta of North Adams, Joanne Burnette of Gulfport, MS, Patricia Rose Sloan of Huntsville, AL, step grandchildren, Hailey, Aiden, Ella, Aubrie. and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A service for Joseph Valotta will be on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – WEST CHAPEL 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA 01247.
