Harriet M. Brewer, 94, of Colonial Village, Monson, formerly of North Adams, died Thursday at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer.
Born in Astoria, N.Y., on Sept. 5, 1907, daughter of Stanley and Mary Weirauch Marschat, she resided in North Adams for many years before moving to Monson in 1979.
She was employed as a telephone operator in Texas and in Western Massachusetts. She retired from New England Telephone Co.'s North Adams office after 22 years of service.
She attended the Monson United Methodist Church and was a member of the Monson Senior Center.
Her husband, Wallace L. Brewer, died in 1992.
She leaves a daughter, Mary Louise Brewer of Monson; two brothers, Stanley Marschat of Connecticut and Raymond Marschat of New York, and three sisters, Gertrude Rouhr of Ala-bama, Audrey Beaupry of New Jersey and Ruth Martin of Sheffield.
Funeral services will be Monday from NEWKIRK-PALMER FUNERAL HOME, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, both in North Canaan, Conn. Lombard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Monson.
