Anthony Jude Duplantis, Sr.

March 16, 2023

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Anthony Jude Duplantis, Sr, 67 of North Adams died of a broken heart on Thursday March 16, 2023, 6 days after losing his wife of 37 years.



Born in Houma, Louisiana on August 4, 1955 to the late Lloyd and Mercedes Duplantis. He graduated from South Terrebone High School and attended College at Nichols State University.



Anthony married the love of his life, the late Rachelle Bonneville Duplantis on May 10, 1986 at Saint Joseph’s Church in Chauvin, Louisiana.



Anthony worked for more than 30 years as a Welder and later as a welding inspector. He retired in August of 2021. Anthony was also a devoted husband and father.



He leaves his children, Anthony Jude Duplantis and his wife, Casie Duplantis of Hawaii, Jessica Duplantis of Winters, California, Steven Bonneville of North Adams, Heather Duplantis and her husband Soloman Stewart of Pittsfield, MA, Mandy Bostwick and her husband Michael Bostwick of Adams, MA and Krista Duplantis Foster and her husband Walter Foster of Hidden Valley Lake, CA; 3 sisters, Angela, Denise and Alida; 5 brothers, Lloyd (Laddie) Eric, peter, Patrick and Elias; 10 grandchildren, Darren, Connor, Evan, Baylon, Daiten, Hadley, Walter, Kristopher, Jonny and Jonah and many cousins, nieces and nephews.



FUNERAL NOTICE: FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rachelle Duplantis and Anthony Duplantis Sr. will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Stanislaus Church, Adams Ma. A reception will follow at Bounti-Fare Restaurant. Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247 is entrusted with arrangements.
