NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  William Howard Houghton, 94, of North Adams died on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center-Pittsfield. He was born in North Adams on May 22, 1928 a son of the late Howard Houghton and Agnes (Bouchard) Houghton.

William attended Drury High School and graduated with the class of 1946. He worked for Sprague Electric Company for 43 years as supervisor foremen of cost analyst management. He was also a longtime part-time employee for Green Mountain Race Track. William was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.

William married Lillian Jane (Gregalis) Houghton on June 26, 1948 she died on August 29, 2017. William leaves his sons, Stephen Houghton of Greenfield and Dana Houghton of North Adams. He also leaves four daughters including, Susan Boucher of Palmer, MA, Nancy Boisjolie of Southampton, MA, Kathleen Lancto of North Adams and Christine Fairbank of Dalton. He also leaves 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for William Houghton will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
