David J. DeMarco, 66

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  David J DeMarco, 66, of North Adams, MA passed peacefully at home on July 1, 2022 after a brief illness. Mr. DeMarco was born July 29, 1955, the youngest child to Dorothy (Knapp) and Carmen DeMarco.



David attended high school at McCann Technical High School and was a skilled carpenter and craftsman. Throughout his career he has worked on many buildings in his hometown, throughout the Berkshires, and New England. His hobbies included hunting, camping, spending time on his land in Stamford, VT, NASCAR, and rebuilding antique cars. He believed in living life to the fullest, working hard, and enjoying his free time doing the things he loved. He always lended a helping hand with projects, and was always an ever present Uncle to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved so much. 



He was predeceased by his parents, his only sister Shirley (DeMarco) Lyman, brothers Carmen (Tony) DeMarco and Daniel DeMarco -  who was his best friend, as well as his dog Cooper. He is survived by his oldest brother Joseph and wife Rita DeMarco, his beloved companion of over 20 years, Ms. Cathy Corbett, as well as his nieces and nephews who were very special to him - Colleen Carr, Cheryl (Lyman) Fallon, Christopher DeMarco, Bethany DeMarco-Gaylord, Scott DeMarco, Joel DeMarco, Kristen Jagiello and their families, as well as many cousins and close friends.



David’s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at Hospice Care of the Berkshires, and close friends who were there in the final days of his life. It was David’s wish for no services, his burial will be private in the family plot at Southview Cemetery, North Adams MA.

My deepest condolences on your. Dave and I go back many years and had a lot of great times. A true friend to all that had a pleasure of knowing him. He was a great sound engineer for the band and was also full of excitement and energy...Party on my friend.
