NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy Ruth (Beer) Bosley, 94 of North Adams, MA died Saturday July 9, 2022 at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams, MA on May 15, 1928, a daughter of Harry and Estelle (Phillips) Beer. She attended local schools.
Dorothy was last employed as an interpreter on the summit of Mount Greylock for the Commonwealth of MA Dept of Conservation and Recreation. Prior to that, she worked at Sprague Electric Co and was an LPN at Sweetbrook Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Florida Baptist Church and a volunteer at the North Adams Public Library. Dorothy was an avid fan of Drury High School sports and the Boston Red Sox. She was an active outdoor person and enjoyed playing Bingo and ice skating.
Survivors include one daughter- Patricia A. (David) Barbeau of Florida, MA and two sons- Daniel E. (Laura) Bosley of North Adams, MA and Ronald A. (Cynthia) Bosley of Florida, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren- Stephanie Bosley, Bobby Briggs, Sarah Torres, Veronica Bosley, and Amanda Bosley Vivori; nine great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-Nancy Tower, Marion Beer, Virginia Thompson, Norman Beer, Robert Beer and Ralph Beer.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Dorothy Bosley will be Tuesday July 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. Burial will follow in Florida Church Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 5-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
