Barbara "Honey" Lewis, 86

April 27, 2022

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Ann (Campedelli) "Honey" Lewis, 86 of North Adams, MA died Wednesday April 27, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center.



She was born in North Adams, MA on May 16, 1935, a daughter of Richard Campedelli and Josephine (Bushika) "Pep" Campedelli. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School.



Honey was first employed as an administrative assistant at Sprague Electric Co and later worked as the office manager at Gordon & Sutton Construction Co. She was last employed as an administrative assistant at the Visiting Nurse Association in North Adams.



She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Honey was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball fan. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Honey was devoted to her family and was a vocal presence at her son's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events.



She was the widow of Lawrence Royal Lewis who died August 30, 2017. They were married on July 27, 1957. Survivors include two sons- Michael D. (Nancy) Lewis of North Adams and Richard L. (Annette) Lewis of Stamford, VT and three grandchildren- Nicole (Gary) Rondeau of Haughton, LA; Sarah (Kyle) Hurlbut of Clarksburg, MA and Kaileigh Lewis (Marcos DeVilla) of North Adams, MA. She also leaves six great grandchildren including Gary Rondeau, Ella Rondeau, Dakota Hurlbut, Owen Hurlbut, Inali DeVilla and Alex DeVilla. Sister-in-law-Patricia Campedelli, nephew Ricky Campedelli of North Adams; niece-Jill Campedelli (R.J.) Laurello of North Adams and nephew Joseph (Annie) Campedelli, New York, NY, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Honey was predeceased by a brother Joseph Campedelli and sister Carole Campedelli.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Honey Lewis will be celebrated Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Conference or St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home. Honey will be truly missed. I am so honored that I was lucky enough to be one of her care givers and was able to spend time with her and got to know her she was deeply devoted to her family and had a great sense of humor..She was a very thoughtful and caring person. She is someone who will be remembered with love.
