Mildred Catherine Scully, 89, formerly of 86 Holbrook St., died Tuesday at Sweet Brook Health Care Center in Williamstown.
Born in Adams on Aug. 23, 1912, daughter of Jasper and Mary E. O'Neil Coones, she attended schools in Adams, including the former Adams Memorial High School.
Mrs. Scully was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for several years and most recently with the former Roberts Co. clothing store as a salesclerk.
She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed spending summers at Camp Sunset on Windsor Lake, knitting and crocheting.
Her husband, Edward James Scully, whom she married Aug. 17, 1936, died June 20, 1997.
She leaves two daughters, Sandra Gilmore of Nashua, N.H., and Mary Lynn Maselli of North Adams; two sons, John Edward Scully of North Adams and Daniel Webster Scully of Tortola, British Virgin Islands; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the Alzheimer's unit at Sweet Brook Health Care Center through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
