NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Richard Samuel Shupe, 91 of North Adams, MA died on Friday December 17, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center-North Adams.

He was born in Florida, MA on March 22, 1930, a son of Samuel and Nina (Caprari) Shupe. He graduated from Drury High School.

Richard was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Navy.

He was last employed by Boeing in Seattle where he worked for many years until his retirement and returned to North Adams. He was a member of the American Legion and the Greylock Community Club. Richard was an excellent bowler and competed in many tournaments. He also loved wood-working.

Survivors include two sons- Richard A. Shupe and Thomas O. Shupe, both of North Adams. He also leaves 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son- Mark Shupe and his sister, Lillian Fenton.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Richard Shupe will be held on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA.
