NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Ivan Joseph Carli, 90 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 8, 1931, a son of Silvio and Ida (Lazzeri) Carli. He lived in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1951.
Ivan was a machinist at Berkmatics for 45 years. After his retirement, he worked at Big Y. Ivan was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Retired Men's Club. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, skiing, travel and beekeeping.
Survivors include his wife, Nola whom he married on May 8, 1954; and four sons- Michael of Wilmington, NC; Francis of Cape Coral, FL; David (Jana) of North Adams and John of North Adams. He also leaves four grandchildren- Matthew, Ryan and Monette of Saratoga and Jason of RI; one brother- Robert (Christine) Carli of Fall River, MA; and a daughter in law- Charlene of Saratoga. He was predeceased by his son- James and his daughter in law- Christina.

Nola and family I am deeply sorry for your loss, I've had the privilege of working with Ivan&Nola at Big Y in North Adams many years ago, I am glad to have known and work with Ivan as he would always ask about my children every time I came in contact with him,I will certainly miss Ivan who always had a smile on his face every time I seen him.It was a privilege to have known Ivan.
