NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Joan A. (Gokey) Witek, 88, of North Adams, died Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Pittsfield on September 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Stephen and Edith (Payson) Gokey. She attended local schools and graduated from Doerr Beauty Academy in Springfield. She worked as a hairdresser for many local beauty shops. She is survived by her three children, Stanley J. Witek, Jr., Sandra A. Czubryt and Douglas M. Witek; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Joey Witek, Alison Losaw and Ashley Bingham; great grandchildren Jackson Larabee, Blake Losaw and Audrina Losaw, as well as many nieces and nephews.
