Virginia Gregory, 95

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Virginia Josephine Gregory, 95 of North Adams, died on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at North Adams Commons.

She was born in North Adams on Aug. 3, 1926, a daughter of Joseph and Angelina Falbo Buda. She attended schools in North Adams.

Virginia was employed at the former J.J. Newberry for several years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Ernie and spending time with family and friends.

On June 30, 1951, she married Ernest Charles Gregory in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Ernest predeceased her on April 10, 2007.

Virginia leaves behind her two loving sons, Robert J. Gregory, her daughter-in-law Eileen McKeon Gregory, of North Adams and Ernest J. Gregory and Kathi Pappas of Thornton, Colo.; four grandchildren, Ian Gregory, Jacqueline Third and her spouse Barry, Andrew Gregory and Emma-Margaret Gregory; one great-granddaughter, Stella-Blue Gregory; one sister, Nina Mastrangelo of Pittsfield; one nephew and two nieces, Marc Mastrangelo and his wife, Jennifer, Lisa Mastrangelo and Maria Mastrangelo; a grandniece and a grandnephew, Lydia and Luke.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Frederick Buda; two sisters Mary Buda and Josephine Robinson, and two brothers-in-law, Silvio Mastrangelo and Leo Robinson.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Virginia Gregory will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
