William Gaffey, 83

William James Gaffey, 83, of North Adams, MA. died Wednesday July 14, 2021 at his home. He was born in North Adams on November 7, 1937 a son of the late Patrick and Florence (Veilleux) Gaffey. William attended the former St. Joseph Parochial School in North Adams. He was a longtime member of the Local #473 Labor Union. William loved spending time with his family, riding his bike, fishing and walking. He also had a keen interest in electronics.
His wife Jacqueline Ann (Fredette) Gaffey died May 21, 2021. Survivors include his six loving children, Brenda Willette of Bennington, VT, Lisa Dix and her husband Ernest of Clarksburg, MA, Tenea Minasian and her husband Dale of North Conway, NH, Laurie Grimaldi and her husband Steven of Adams, MA, Patrick Gaffey of North Adams, MA, and Tammy Clark and her husband Everett of Adams, MA. He also leaves ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers James Gaffey of the State of Florida, John Gaffey of Clarksburg, MA, and Robert Gaffey of North Adams, MA. William was predeceased by two sisters Mary Pellerin and Florence Del Signore and two brothers Donald Gaffey and Cpl. Patrick J. Gaffey, US Army who was killed in Korea August 8, 1956.
