Michael Delisle, 33

July 06, 2021

Michael Rory Delisle, 33, of North Adams died on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his home. He was born in North Adams on October 8, 1987 a son of Debra Ann (Booth) Delisle and the late Daniel Theodore Delisle.

Michael attended local schools, and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 2006. He then attended post graduate school at McCann Technical School. Michael was previously employed as a surgical technician at Berkshire Medical Center & Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Michael was an avid Boston Celtics fan and spent many late nights either watching a game, or playing NBA2K21 on his PlayStation wiping the floor with his competition. He grew up with a love for baseball and collected many trophies over the years as a kid. Michael spoke of his fond memories on the field often.

Michael was musically inclined and was known for his incredible ability playing the drums. If he wasn’t sitting directly behind his drum set, he was found slapping his knees, or any other flat surface to have a quick jam session to one of his favorite songs. He also wasn’t afraid to pick up a guitar and pluck away at the strings.

Michael was a hands-on kind of guy and spent a lot of time outside or in the garden. His friends and family would say he had a green thumb, as he mastered the art, for it was one of his passions in life.

Michael was most proud of and passionate about his two children, whom he loved beyond words. They were the light of his life and the reason he worked as hard as he did. He spent every possible second with them when he could, played with them, and showed them what true love really was. His children always reciprocated the love, and looked at their daddy with such adoration.

Michael leaves his beloved children, Aurora & Orion Delisle. His mother, Debra Delisle, sister, Kara Delisle and brother, Colton Delisle as well as his maternal grandmother, Shirley Booth and his roommate and best friend, Jessica Dunn and niece Miaah Southard.

Funeral services for Michael Delisle are Private at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. 01247. Private burial will take place in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.

Kara, Deb, Aurora, Orion and the other members of Mike's family who are mourning this very tragic and unfortunate loss, I am so sorry. You already know how special Mike was as a father, son, and brother. Mike has many friends who have great stories that paint such a beautiful picture of the kind of friend and person Mike was outside of your perspective and I hope you all take comfort in hearing all the positive memories everyone has to share. He was a great friend to my husband and will always be one of my favorites for that very reason. Sending much love and positive thoughts to everyone who is hurting and coping with Mike's passing. May he rest in peace.

To Mike's family and friends, I will always remember Mike for being a good guy and supporter of the punk rock nonsense I tried to get going in the Berkshires. That is so long ago in my past now, but some people you remember just for their character and that will always be Mike. RIP friend.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It is so very hard to lose a child when a parent should go before them. It's a part of you that will never be the same. My sincere condolences go out to your family. He is with his Dad now and are looking down on his family. He will be your new guardian angel.
