NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Robert Henry Gageant, 70 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday December 29, 2020 at his home.

He was born in North Adams, MA on February 9, 1950, a son of George Joseph and Dorothy M. (Sauve) Gageant. He attended the Holy Family and Notre Dame Parochial Schools and graduated from McCann Technical High School.

Robert was employed as an electrician at the Clark Art Institute for 40 years until his retirement. Before that, he worked at Tower Electric. He was a communicant of the former Holy Family Church. Bob was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed ice fishing. He also enjoyed camping and loved his 1969 Chevy Camaro.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Marie (Prevey) Gageant whom he married on October 25, 1969 and three sons- Stephen (Jennifer) Gageant of Adams; Carl Gageant of Clarksburg and Daniel Gageant of North Adams. He also leaves seven grandchildren including Allison, Nollan, Griffin, Collin, Nathaniel, Sophia and Jeremy; two sisters- Cynthia (Peter) Richard of North Adams, MA and Patricia Gageant of Dallas, TX; and one brother- Russell (Linda) Gageant of Philadelphia, PA and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Robert Gageant will be Saturday January 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday morning from 9-11 AM. Burial will be in the spring in Southview cemetery.
