NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Keegan Carl Perry, 15, of North Adams passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in North Adams.
He was born in North Adams on Jan. 11, 2005, a son to Rebecca "Becky" Karen McLain and Ernest "Ernie" Charles Perry. He attended schools in North Adams and was recently a sophomore at McCann Technical School studying machine technology.
Keegan had interests such as studying history, his favorite subject. In his spare time he enjoyed skateboarding, riding his bike and playing his Xbox with his friends. He always spoke of his fun adventures with his two best friends Andi Miner and Ethan Daley. He would say that they were the good ol' boys like the Dukes of Hazzard. He loved all of his pets dearly, and over the past summer he worked hard restoring his 1981 CJ8 Jeep Scrambler, usually with a dog, Bullie, by his side.
Survivors include his mother, Becky McLain and his father, Ernie Perry as well as his sister, Ashley Valois, all of North Adams. He leaves his cousin, who was more like a brother, Dawson McLain, and his maternal grandparents, Steven and Monica McLain and his paternal grandparents, Carlton and Rhoda Perry. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Anyone who knew Keegan knew he was very patriotic and cared deeply about the veterans and aspired to one day be in the Marines. With that being said the family is asking that if you do not want to wear black or do not own black that you wear something patriotic or red, white, and blue because Keegan would not want anyone to have to buy anything extra. The family will also be setting up through the funeral home donations to go to the Veterans Families United and The Wounded Warriors Project.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Keegan Perry will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, in the Clarksburg Cemetery in Clarksburg. There are no calling hours.
