NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Donald E. Morin, 89, of North Adams died on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at his home.



He was born in North Adams on April 9, 1929, a son of the late Joseph & Marie (Monette) Morin. Donald was employed by General Electric as a pressure treat operator for 25 years. Formerly he worked at Berkshires Mills, Windsor Mills and Sprague Electric Co.



Donald leaves one daughter and son in law, Diana (Morin) Kawczak and her husband Andrew Kawczak of North Adams; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amber (Kawczak) Hannush and her husband Yasser Hannush of Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.



Donald was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Norma Helen (Morton) Morin, who died on April 4, 2002. They were married on October, 30, 1948. Donald was also predeceased by a sister, Viola (Morin) Lampiasi of North Adams; and a brother, Joseph Morin of California.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Donald E. Morin was celebrated at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial followed in Southview Cemetery.
