NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Joseph Rocco Cavallaro, 81, of Shelburne, Mass., and formerly of North Adams died Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Poet's Seat Nursing Home in Greenfield, Mass.



He was born in North Adams on May 11, 1935, son of Joseph and Angelina (DiGiore) Cavallaro.  He attended Drury High School.



Survivors include one sister, Beatrice Pelaccio of Pittsfield, Mass.; one niece, Caron LaForest, and one nephew, David Sprague; one grandniece; and two grandnephews.



His sister, Carmen Sprague is deceased.  



Funeral notice: Graveside services and burial for Joseph Rocco Cavallaro will be held in the spring in Southview cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
