NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Adelina Cruz, 79, of North Adams died Monday, October 3, 2016, at North Adams Commons.

 

She was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on May 10, 1937, daughter of Telesforo Chavez and Francesca Cruz. Adelina worked in Honduras at a battery manufacturing plant. She came to the United States at the age of 62. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.



Survivors include two daughters, Reina Gutierrez of North Adams and Iracema Montoya of Baton Rouge, La.; two sons, Lionel Montoya of Compton, Calif,. and Ricardo Montoya of San Salvador, El Salvador; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.



Her son, Gustavo Montoya, is deceased.



Funeral notice: The funeral for Adelina Cruz will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams.  Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
