NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Thomas Peter Mazza, 70, of North Adams died Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
He was born in North Adams on September 17, 1945, son of Samuel and Stacia (Wojnicki) Mazza. He was a member of BFAIR.
Thomas worked at St. Joseph's Court for several years. He loved animals. In his youth he enjoyed bike riding and bowling. Thomas enjoyed tag sales and going out to dinner with his sister Nancy and brother-in-law Raymond.
Survivors include his sister, Nancy Mazza Gaudette, and her husband Raymond of Williamstown; and several cousins.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Thomas Peter Mazza will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations may be made to BFAIR or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.

I remember Tom vividly now. A beautiful soul, but as kids growing up on Notch Rd, we didn't realize exactly how beautiful he was.
