NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lawrence James LaValley, 68, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away on Aug. 4, 2016, after a brief, but valiant, battle with cancer.



He was born on April 1, 1948, in North Adams, Mass., to Leo and Martha LaValley.



He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sorely missed. He pursued many hobbies and mastered all.



He is survived by his wife Janet W. LaValley; his sons, Seth W. LaValley (Taylor) and John Taylor L. LaValley; his daughters, Elizabeth E. LaValley and Amanda L. Lindquist (Christopher); his father Leo LaValley; his sisters, Kimberly LaValley and Mary Beth LaValley; his brothers, David LaValley, Richard LaValley, Michael LaValley, Peter LaValley and Shaun LaValley; his grandchildren, Leo LaValley, Jonnie LaValley and Charles LaValley and Isabelle S. LaValley, Zoey J. Lindquist, and Aleyda, Alysia and Eli Avechuco; numerous nieces and nephews; his first wife, Mary Jane LaValley; and many, many friends.



He was preceeded in death by his mother Martha LaValley, his grand-uncle Eddie LaValley, and his brother Stephen LaValley.
