NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Arthur Maynard Sr., 70, of North Adams died Monday, March 28, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born in North Adams on August 27, 1946, a son of the late Elmer and Anna (Monroe) Maynard. 

Mr. Maynard was employed at Butler Wholesale Co. and later at General Cable Co. in Williamstown. 

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his trike and he loved spending time with family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife, Judith A. (Booth) Maynard, whom he married July 1, 1967; one son, Robert A. Maynard Jr. of North Adams; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Booth of Adams; three grandchildren, Robert Maynard III, Danielle Maynard and Heather Maynard; one step-grandson, Marc McCarthy; an aunt, Helen Havelin of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service: Burial will take at the convenience of the family in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is handling the arrangements.
