NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Walter William Foster, 51, of 69 Quincy St., died Monday March 7, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in North Adams on Aug. 13, 1964, son of Erma "Sis" Lescarbeau Foster of North Adams and the late Nelson J. Foster Jr. He attended Drury High School and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard. He was a self-employed contractor working for years with his father and later on his own. He loved woodworking. Besides his mother, he leaves two sons, Robert Foster and Bryce Foster, and a daughter, Amber Foster, all of North Adams; a stepson, Dana Burdick of Virginia; four sisters, Linda Coolman of Indiana, Nancy Baer and Leslie Thomason of Pittsfield, and Barbara Wilson of North Adams; a brother, Nelson "Joey" Foster III, also of Adams; and many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Walter William Foster will be from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams, on Monday, March 14, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 13, from 3 to 6 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home or for the Joshua Bressette Witness and Victim Fund through the funeral home.
