David A. Mariani, 68

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — David Alfred Mariani, 68, of Harding Avenue died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on May 15, 1947, son of Ann Mulvaney Mariani of North Adams and the late Alfred Mariani, he graduated from Drury High School and from the former St. Joseph's College, now Southern Vermont College, in Bennington.
Mr. Mariani was last employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. Before that, he worked at the former Consolidated Aluminum.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. He enjoyed bowling and stock-car racing. He was an avid fan of the North Adams Steeplecats and the Boston Red Sox.
Besides his mother, he leaves his brother, Michael Mariani and his wife, Lisa, of North Adams, several cousins and his close friends Ernie DeSanty and Ron Charbonneau.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Mariani will be Saturday, June 27, at 11 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10-11. Donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
