NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — John Henry Martin, 62, of 83 Hathaway St. died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center's North Adams campus.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 3, 1952, son of Kenneth and Catherine Champagne Martin, he graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mr. Martin was employed by Poly CD in Pittsfield for 23 years until his retirement in 2014.
He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed music, especially playing and collecting guitars, and was an avid fan of The Grateful Dead.
He leaves his wife, the former Carol A. Bliss, whom he married on Dec. 29, 1978; two daughters Jennifer Feliciano and Jessie Martin, both of North Adams; a son, John K. Martin of North Adams; six grandchildren, Rylie, Darrin, Keira, Braley, Randy Jr., and John, who is expected any day; and his close cousin, the Rev. Paul Boardman of Portsmouth, R.I.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services and burial for Mr. Martin will be private.
