NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Wayne D. Bennett, 57, of Franklin Street died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Northern Berkshire campus of Berkshire Medical Center North.
Born in North Adams on May 5, 1957, a son of Lawrence and Alice Brayman Bennett, he attended schools in North Adams.
Mr. Bennett had been employed for several years at the former Capitol Restaurant and, before that, at Krutiak Lumber Yard in Clarksburg.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church.
He leaves his fiancée, Gail Nelson of North Adams; a son, Joshua Colon of North Adams; a daughter, Fiona Whitney-Bennett of North Adams; six sisters, Rosemarie Bassett, Mary Alderman, Sharron Windsor, Helen Johnson, Alice LaFountain and Patricia Brayman; two brothers, Lawrence "Paul" Bennett and Roy Bennett.
He was predeceased by one brother and three sisters, James Bennett, Charlotte Bennett, Bertha Brayman and Priscilla O'Neil.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Private services for Mr. Bennett will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
