NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — David Linden Brown, 75, of North Adams, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Dexter, Maine, on Feb. 9, 1940, son of Donald W. and Helen Thelma Bailey Brown, he graduated from Dexter High School, where he was the captain of the football team.
He served in the Merchant Marines.
Mr. Brown was last employed by Price Chopper Supermarket in Pittsfield until his retirement.
He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed golf, fishing and motorcycle riding. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife, the former Lorraine Michele Ferris, whom he married on June 11, 1972; a daughter, Becky Lynn Wandrei and her husband, Michael, of Windsor; a son, Adam David Brown and his wife, Erica, of Margaret, Ala.; a sister, Jana Wheaton and her husband, Dale, of Maine; a brother, Thomas Brown and his wife, Dee, of Annapolis, Md.; three grandchildren, Jacob, Lilly and Nathan, and three nieces.
FUNERAL NOTICE — In lieu of calling hours, the family requests condolences be sent through sympathy cards and messages to Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
