NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mitchell Alfred Braman, 59, of 27 Hudson St. died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at his home.
Born in North Adams on March 24, 1955, son of Walter and Phoebe Roberts Del Ratez Braman, he attended local schools and graduated from McCann Technical School.
Mr. Braman was last employed by the city of North Adams as a custodian at Sullivan School for 16 years. Prior to that, he worked at Gagliardi Appliance and Central Radio.
He enjoyed fishing and coin collecting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He and his wife, the former Heidi Ann Park, were married on Aug. 20, 1983.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons John Braman of Adams, Samuel Braman and his wife, Terry, of North Adams, Patrick Braman and his wife, Sarah, of Bennington, Vt., and Zachary Braman and his wife, Melissa, of North Adams; two brothers, William Del Ratez of Corning, N.Y., and James Del Ratez of North Adams; two sisters, Eileen Jackson of North Adams and Deborah Stratton of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; eight grandchildren including Noah, William, Ryan, Alex, Jayda, Jordan Rose, Samuel and Nolan, and nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and two sisters, including Beverly Duquette, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Braman will be Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be private.
A calling hour will be held Saturday from noon to 1. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
