CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Theodore W. McAllister Jr., 70, of 464 North Houghton St. died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at his home, surrounded his loving family.
Born in Portland, Maine, on June 10, 1944, a son of Theodore McAllister Sr. and Irene Williams, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Angelina Hurlbut McAllister. He attended schools in North Adams.
Mr. McAllister was employed for many years at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
He loved fishing and spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren.
He and his wife, the former Ellen Walden, were married on Sept. 25, 1965.
Besides his wife of 49 years, he leaves a daughter Pamela Lizzo and her husband, John, of North Adams; two sons, Scott McAllister and his wife, Susannah, of Adams and Stephen McAllister and his wife, Becky, of Clarksburg; two sisters, Patricia Chagnon of Montague and Jo Ann Roy of North Adams, and seven grandchildren, Matthew Lizzo, Evan and Lauren McAllister, Abigael and Jake McAllister and Ryan and Aly Kalisz.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. McAllister will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 19, from 3 to 6 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for Berkshire VNA & Hospice through the funeral home.
