Joseph A. Sacco Jr., 65

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Joseph A. Sacco Jr., 65, of Clarksburg died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 12, 1949, son of Joseph A. and Frances Roy Sacco, he graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams and attended Berkshire Community College.

Mr. Sacco was a member of Laborer's Union 473 for 35 years, until his retirement in 2005. His last project was the de-commissioning of the Yankee Atomic Plant in Rowe.

He was a member of the Greylock Community Club and of Sons of the American Legion.

He leaves his wife, the former Nancy J. Dube, whom he married in 1991; his mother-in-law, Theresa Dube of North Adams; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Madeline and Ron Burdick of Adams and Michelle and Keith Crockwell of North Adams; a niece, three nephews and many cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Sacco will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 6 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

A graveside committal service for Mr. Sacco will be held Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Omission of flowers requested; memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church of Williamstown in care of the funeral home.
