NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Shirley Ann Boucher, 77, of 93 Bracewell Ave. died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 1, 1937, a daughter of Louis and Alice Wright Chalifoux, she graduated from Drury High School.
Mrs. Boucher was employed at the former Cornish Wire in Williamstown and lastly at the former Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal, Vt., as a waitress.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She enjoyed fishing, bingo and NASCAR.
Her husband, Bernard Gilbert Boucher, whom she married Jan. 14, 1956, died March 19, 2000.
She leaves two loving sons, Mark J. Boucher, with whom she made her home, and David A. Boucher and his wife, Linda, also of North Adams; a brother, Louis J. Chalifoux Jr. and his wife, Susan, of North Adams; two grandchildren, Sheila Thoresen and David L. Boucher; a great-grandchild, Ethan Thoresen, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Kaigle Kateley, in February.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Calling hours for Mrs. Boucher will take place Friday, June 6, from 5 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
Burial will take place in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested through the funeral home.
