NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Isabelle Unis, 88, of 322 State St. died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Adams on June 2, 1925, daughter of Marjan and Josephina Sidowicz Biskup, she attended Adams schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Unis became employed by the former Jarisch Paper Box Co. at the age of 50, and retired at age 75.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Her husband, Fayese R. Unis, whom she married in August 1949, died on June 3, 1962.
She leaves her daughter, Donna Tatro and her husband, David, of Stamford, Vt.; two grandsons, David Tatro and his wife, Jessica, of Stamford, and Nathan Tatro of Alexandria, Va., and two great-grandchildren, Sierra Tatro and Evan Tatro.
Her son, Joseph R. Unis, died on May 20, 2012.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Unis will be celebrated Monday, April 21, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams will be Monday morning from 9 to 10:30. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
