NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eugene Leonard Aubin, 72, of 150 Ashland St. died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 13, 1940, son of Edward and Olive Saunders Aubin, he attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School. He also attended Berkshire Community College.
He served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Mr. Aubin was a self-employed painter for 40 years. He also worked for the state of Connecticut Department of Public Works on bridge repair.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Adams. He enjoyed fishing and was a Boston Red Sox fan.
He leaves his brother, Kenneth Aubin of North Adams, and nieces and nephews including Susan DiLorenzo of Stamford, Vt.
His sister, Marion Cyr, died on Feb. 16, 2010, and his fiancée, Sherry Bailey, in 2012.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mr. Aubin will be held on Friday, June 7, at 11 in Southview Cemetery with the Rev. David Anderson officiating.
