Taconic High School graduate and Columbia University junior Anton Lazits is hitting .253 for the Lions this spring.
Lazits has six home runs, five doubles and 13 RBIs in starting all 22 games for the Lions, who are 10-12 overall and 5-1 in the Ivy League heading into this weekend's games at Dartmouth.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —Schoolchildren will have an extra long holiday vacation next year.
The School Committee approved a calendar that has students on break from the end of the school day Friday, Dec. 20, to Thursday, Jan. 2.
