NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Theatre and Music departments announced the 2023-2024 season of performances with four productions including visiting performing artists, guest directors, and student directors in addition to two student concerts. The fall season opens on Nov. 3 with a MainStage production titled "Antigone by Sophocles" translated by Anne Carson and guest director Rudy Ramirez. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — North Adams Public Schools is the recipient of a federally-funded, competitive 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, in the amount of $200,000. The bench is located near the former main entrance at Colegrove Park Elementary School next to the nurse's office. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — One of the last classes to graduate from the old Drury High School made sure their time there is not forgotten. The class of 1973 recently held its 50th class reunion and, as part of their celebration, gifted a bench that is located Colegrove Park Elementary School.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — McCann Technical School officials are hoping to get students into the HVAC technician classrooms by February next year. The School Committee on Thursday night awarded the contract for the 5,800 square-foot building to Salco Construction of Pittsfield, which came in with the low bid of about $2.9 million. Salco has worked on a range of local construction projects from residential homes to larger enterprises such as the Berkshire Museum renovation and Jiminy Peak. Bradley Architects was the designer.
