Plant Connector Pop-up Opens in Pittsfield By Sabrina Damms, iBerkshires Staff

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. — North County business owners Emilee Yawn and Bonnie Marks brought their community-loving plant shop, Plant Connector, to Central County. The pop-up shop, located at 64 North St., will be open until Dec. 31. The pop-up shop will replicate the much-loved North County store with an assortment of plants, home decor, and events. Yawn said the Plant Connector, which opened on Eagle Street in North Adams in 2020, is all about connecting people with plants and each other. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The City Council passed the long-awaited taxi to a second reading on Tuesday. The council made short work of a number of lingering items on the agenda through postponement and wrapped up in just under 45 minutes. The creation of a hospital overlay district was approved with little discussion. The council had had a joint public hearing with the Planning Board on Monday and the planners immediately voted to recommend its passage to the council The Public Safety Committee has been reviewing the taxi ordinance at the behest of the mayor and Police Department after a hearing on violations pointed to the city's limitations in 0 Comments

City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
