WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration began accepting applications through the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) program as part of the Biden-Harris administration's commitment to expanding access to resources for Veterans and other underserved populations. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College Of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Arts & Culture (MAC) will host a panel discussion, "Modes of Relationship," focused on art, race, nationality, and gender on Jan. 26, 2023, with artist-in-residence WANG Chen and Mikayla Patton, artist-in-residence at The Studios at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). The discussion will take place at 5 p.m. at the MCLA Design Lab on 49 Main St. The event is free and open to the public. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Pharmacy and Wellness Centers have administered over 30,000 flu shots this year, a record number for the chain. Health officials continue to make another urgent push to encourage the public to get vaccinated. In the US, this flu season has been one of the most significant in recent memory with nearly 20 million illnesses, 210,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 deaths from flu so far, according to CDC estimates. Experts say it's not too late to get vaccinated. Each Big Y Pharmacy location still offers flu vaccines, no appointment is necessary. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
