Brien Center Opening Peer Recovery Support Center in North Adams06:06PM / Tuesday, July 18, 2023 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Brien Center has been awarded a new five-year contract from the state Bureau of Substance and Addiction Services for a peer recovery support center. Located at 37 Main St., the center will be an accessible hub for peer support and substance-use services as well as a support center for families affected by addiction. The center will support traditional and nontraditional pathways to recovery, while also providing hope and promoting wellness. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
