NBYHL Ice Jam Fundraiser Concert

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey League (NBYHL) is hosting a fundraising event at the Peter Foote Memorial Rink on Saturday, May 14.   The ice will be melted in order to host a night of country music to benefit NBYHL.   Local singer/songwriter CJ Field and Nashville recording artist Timmy Brown will be performing.     Food trucks and a bar will be provided by Bounti Fare   Doors open at 5 pm. The show starts at 6 pm.   Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.   The Peter Foote Memorial Rinks is located on 1267 South Church St.

Clarksburg Student Council Planning Walk to School Options

SVHC Announces DAISY Award Winner

Summer Temperatures Expected this Week

The Berkshires can expect an early glimpse at some summer temperatures this week.   We are looking at a high of 74 in North Adams today, according to Accuweather.   But be warned, the National Weather Service released a special weather statement that indicated that a  very dry airmass combined with gusty winds will result in elevated fire weather concerns today.   This warning expires at 8 pm   Wednesday, May 11 gets even better with a high of 80 predicted. Thursday, Temperatures could hit 85.   Friday, May 13 could truly feel like summer with a high of 89 predicted.   A high of 86 is predicted Saturday.   Sunday, temperatures should wind down into

City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket. Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.

The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
