NBYHL Ice Jam Fundraiser Concert | 11:32AM / Wednesday, May 11, 2022 | |
 NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey League (NBYHL) is hosting a fundraising event at the Peter Foote Memorial Rink on Saturday, May 14. The ice will be melted in order to host a night of country music to benefit NBYHL. Local singer/songwriter CJ Field and Nashville recording artist Timmy Brown will be performing. Food trucks and a bar will be provided by Bounti Fare Doors open at 5 pm. The show starts at 6 pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The Berkshires can expect an early glimpse at some summer temperatures this week. We are looking at a high of 74 in North Adams today, according to Accuweather. But be warned, the National Weather Service released a special weather statement that indicated that a very dry airmass combined with gusty winds will result in elevated fire weather concerns today. This warning expires at 8 pm Wednesday, May 11 gets even better with a high of 80 predicted. Thursday, Temperatures could hit 85. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |
Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
