Sharks Rally Late to Top SteepleCats

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Martha's Vineyard Sharks scored four runs in the top of the ninth to erase a three-run deficit and earn a 6-5 win over North Adams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League on Saturday.   Jackson Miller went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs for the Sharks.   North Adams got five strong innings on the mound from starter Ashton Chronister, who struck out six and did not allow an earned run.   Williamstown's Joshua Polumbo gave up one run in one inning on the mound for the 'Cats.   North Adams (3-7) hosts the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.

WILBRAHAM, Mass. – Mason Fierro and Emery Rotter each threw a complete five-inning game on the mound Saturday as the North Adams Post 125 Juniors earned a double-header sweep of Wilbraham in American Legion baseball action.   Fierro struck out three and allowed one earned run in a 3-2 win that started with Jaydon Dimitropolas’ two-run triple in the top of the first inning.   In the third, Post 125 stretched its lead to 3-0 when Fierro hit a one-out single and eventually stole home.   Fierro went 2-for-3 and scored twice in the win.   Rotter struck out four in a 4-1 win over Wilbraham.   Again, North Adams jumped on top early, this time with three runs in

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Ryder Tatro and Ethan Moran combined to strike out 10 hitters Saturday in leading Refrigerated Structures of New England to an 8-3 win over H.A. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Sanford Mainers scored twice in the top of the 10th inning toe earn a 6-4 win over North Adams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League on Friday.   Sam Miller went 3-for-5 with a tripe and a double for Sanford.   Corey Robinson led North Adams’ offense, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run.   SteepleCats starting pitcher Johnny Ruggiero struck out four and allowed two runs in five innings of work.   North Adams (3-6) is home on Saturday at 5:30 against Martha’s Vineyard at Joe Wolfe Field.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jesse Thompson went 2-for-2 and scored a pair of runs Friday to lead the Pittsfield Post 68 Senior 2 baseball team to a 9-5 win over North Adams Post 125.   Cam Reynolds was 2-for-3 for Post 68, which is fielding two American Legion Senior Division teams for the first time this summer.   Dylan Turner earned the win on the mound, striking out five, walking none and allowing two earned runs in six innings of work before giving the ball to Jason Fields for a scoreless seventh.   It was a 4-4 game until the sixth inning, when Post 68 scored three times. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — According to a statement released by the North Adams Police Department, area law enforcement arrested two men allegedly involved in an on-going narcotics distribution operation.   On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, members of the North Adams Police Department Detective Unit, Adams Police Department and Berkshire County Drug Task Force executed two search warrants simultaneously at 21 Blackinton Street First Floor Apartment and 21 Blackinton Street Second Floor Apartment in North Adams.   The statement read that the court authorized search warrants were executed as part of an on-going narcotics distribution operation occurring from both apartments. North Adams Public Library to Host Cosplay Workshop

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —The North Adams Public Library is scheduled to host a cosplay workshop presented by Eldritch Arts, expert costume & prop makers.

The event is set for Wednesday, June 11, at 6 p.m. and will take place in the library's third-floor community room.

The workshop aims to teach attendees accessible, beginner-friendly, and inexpensive approaches to cosplay. Participants will learn to create leather bracelets that can be customized with stamps and fasteners, or to create and decorate bracers, which resemble body armor. All materials will be provided, and attendees will retain their creations.

The program is free, and registration is required due to limited space.

Library to Host 'Pages of a Story' Exhibit

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Public Library is scheduled to host the unveiling of "Pages of a Story," an exhibit created by local artist Gloria Calderon-Saenz.

The event is set for Wednesday, June 11, at 5 p.m. at the library, located at 74 Church Street.

The library will provide light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres during the event. Gloria Calderon-Saenz "will be available for conversation & questions," according to the announcement.
