Becky Crouse has been promoted to Vice President BSA Officer. Becky joined the Bank 22 years ago as a teller. Throughout the years, she's earned various financial certificates and diplomas and has received multiple promotions. She is currently enrolled in the New England School for Financial Studies. Renelle Moser has been promoted to Marketing and Communication Officer. Renelle joined ACB six years ago as a Marketing Specialist and, in 2020, was promoted to Marketing Manager. Berkshire County Braces for Another Winter Storm 03:39PM / Tuesday, January 24, 2023 | | Guess what? More snow The US National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Wednesday, Jan. 25, for Berkshire County. The watch is in effect from 11 am to Thursday, Jan. 26 at 4 pm. Expect heavy mixed precipitation with total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches. A light ice accumulation is also possible. Snow will develop early Wednesday afternoon, becoming moderate to heavy through the evening with rates of .5 to 1 inch per hour. The snow will become a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain Wednesday night before temperatures rise above freezing and precipitation turns to rain. Wind gusts could blow as high as 35 mph. Storm Bringing Upwards of Foot of Snow Over the Region04:49PM / Sunday, January 22, 2023 | | Another storm moving through the region could mean up to a foot of snow over North Berkshire and the hilltowns through Monday. The National Weather Service in Albany, N.Y., is forecasting anywhere from 2 to 8 inches across Berkshire County, eastern New York and Southern Vermont. Heavy bands of snow beginning around 4 p.m. are expected to drop 6 to 12 inches over Northern Berkshire. Snowfall rates may reach a half inch up to one inch per hour at times this evening and tonight. Adams Community Bank Donates to Local Nonprofits04:04PM / Sunday, January 22, 2023 | | ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank (ACB) ended 2022 with a donation of $75,000 to local food pantries, food banks, and fuel assistance programs. ACB's Senior Vice President of Communications and Community Engagement Maureen Baran presented donations to several Berkshire County nonprofits. Adams Community Bank began its December donation efforts by presenting BCAC's Fuel Assistance program with a $50,000 donation. This program is part of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a federally funded program to help low-income households with their energy costs. ADAMS, Mass. — After extensive debate of the issue at its last several meetings, the town is still waiting to approve an inn holder license for the Mount Royal Inn. The board is waiting on a final inspection for the motel after discussing it again on Wednesday. Building Commissioner Gerald Garner said the building had been vacated, pending that inspection. "Once I do my final inspection, I can sign off, and we'll be OK. Mr. Bokhari is working with me, I just have not received any calls for inspection," he said. More than 200 first responders attended Saturday's training. ADAMS, Mass. — Emergency responders and officials from across the county came to the former Memorial School building Saturday morning to participate in active shooter and hostile event response (ASHER) training. More than 200 responders received training by Emergency Response Consultants in the last two weeks to prepare for the day's seven-hour session. Members of police, fire and ambulance agencies from North Adams, Adams, Williamstown, New Ashford, Savoy, Williams College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts were in attendance.
