Jazzmeia Horn to Perform at Mass MoCA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Multi-award winning vocalist Jazzmeia Horn is scheduled to perform at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art's Hunter Center on Saturday, June 28, at 8 p.m.

The performance will feature the group Black Nile.

This event is part of Mass MoCA's ongoing series showcasing contemporary jazz artists. Tickets are available for $29 in advance, $39 during the week of the performance, and $59 for preferred seating. Members will receive a 10 percent discount on tickets.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass — State Cafe has opened at 90 Main St.   State Cafe, a pop-up of State Food and Drink from Greylock Works, recently opened on Main Street, offering Vietnamese cuisine and beverages.   The pop-up cafe opened last summer as 328North and plans to remain open until September. It is offering similar fare, including Vietnamese-inspired dishes like banh mi sandwiches and noodle or rice bowls with a variety vegetables.   "We grow a lot of the food. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Martha's Vineyard Sharks scored four runs in the top of the ninth to erase a three-run deficit and earn a 6-5 win over North Adams in the New England Collegiate Baseball League on Saturday.   Jackson Miller went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs for the Sharks.   North Adams got five strong innings on the mound from starter Ashton Chronister, who struck out six and did not allow an earned run.   Williamstown's Joshua Polumbo gave up one run in one inning on the mound for the 'Cats.   North Adams (3-7) hosts the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Ryder Tatro and Ethan Moran combined to strike out 10 hitters Saturday in leading Refrigerated Structures of New England to an 8-3 win over H.A. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jesse Thompson went 2-for-2 and scored a pair of runs Friday to lead the Pittsfield Post 68 Senior 2 baseball team to a 9-5 win over North Adams Post 125.   Cam Reynolds was 2-for-3 for Post 68, which is fielding two American Legion Senior Division teams for the first time this summer.   Dylan Turner earned the win on the mound, striking out five, walking none and allowing two earned runs in six innings of work before giving the ball to Jason Fields for a scoreless seventh.   It was a 4-4 game until the sixth inning, when Post 68 scored three times.
