BOSTON — The state's federal representatives were able to secure $13 million in federal funding for Western Massachusetts in the end-of-year omnibus spending package. U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey, and U.S. Reps. Richard Neal and James McGovern announced on Thursday the funding for 16 community-based projects across Western Massachusetts. ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts & Technology (BArT) Charter Public School announced the students who made the honor roll for the second quarter of the 2022-2023 school year. Students who earned 80 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of "Honors". ADAMS, Mass. — The Board of Selectmen has approved the final loan notes and other conditions for borrowing for the wastewater treatment plant project. The board's vote authorizes Treasurer/Collector Kelly Rice to work with bond counsel to issue loan documents. The loan is from the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust, which the board approved $5.49 million of borrowing from for the project in November last year. Town Administrator Jay Green said another vote was necessary for borrowing the remaining funds. Town meeting gave the OK to the $5.49 million for the plant in 2021 and approved the additional funds in November. "You

 NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The federal government has committed to funding half the $3 million needed for a feasibility study of the city's 70-year-old flood control chutes. The city of North Adams and the Hoosac River Revival, which has been working to transform parts of the deteriorating concrete chutes, made the announcement in a press release on Thursday. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The mayor is asking for an updated taxi ordinance with clarity — and some teeth. This is prompted in part by violations made by a local cab company in which police were hamstrung in their ability to enforce city ordinance.
